Spring Summer 27
« Amour gloire et beauté »
« The collection stems from a fragmented memory of an era seen through the eyes of childhood. Images overlap: my mother’s navy blue wedding dress with white polka dots, her voluminous black hat so characteristic of the 1980s, her immaculate white gloves - and the opening credits of The Bold and the Beautiful, which my grandfather watched every morning. Its theatrical aesthetic and polka-dot skirts swirling through kitsch interiors form the starting point of this collection. »
Rather than a nostalgic reconstruction, the collection reinterprets these references through the lens of childhood, with deliberate spontaneity and naivety — as though recreated from a hazy memory or a child’s drawing.
The polka dot becomes a playground: printed onto a white jacquard already dotted, it’s transformed through smocking until it loses its original form, becoming texture and volume instead. Silhouettes are built around dresses and shirt-blouses with exaggerated shoulders, in lipstick-pink tones evoking the glamorous exuberance of the era. Belts close with organic black glass buckles, their irregular contours as though hand-shaped or imagined by a child.
This visual narrative continues Lucille’s established vocabulary: deep brown, sky blue, and vivid accents enrich the nostalgic palette — where memory simplifies, distorts, and gives images from the past a new outline.
